Red, White & Balloons

July 4, 2013 - 3-9:30 p.m.
Please join us for an Independence Day of Celebration. Food, Family Fun and Fireworks! Your tickets include VIP parking, access to the beautiful Balloon Museum, games, entertainment and live music throughout the day. A special kids area means fun for everyone in the family! As the daylight fades, enjoy a traditional picnic dinner with hamburgers, hot dogs, and potato salad. Then pull up a seat for the best view of fireworks in Albuquerque. Stories in the Sky

Join us at the Balloon Museum for "Stories in the Sky" every Wednesday morning. The first session begins at 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. and the second session is from 11 - 11:45 a.m.

Enjoy stories, songs, games and crafts for our youngest adventurers (0-6yrs) and their adult explorers. Download our promotional poster here.

 


 

Albuquerque Concert Band Series

June 12th 7-8 p.m.

Join us on the East lawn of the Balloon Museum, as the Albuquerque Concert Band kicks off their summer concert series.

Friday, June 14 -  A HOUSE IN FLIGHT!

10:30-11:15am - Presentation: A House in Flight
How hard can it be to get a house off of the ground with hundreds of balloons? Meet local, world record breaking pilot Troy Bradley and hear his house-flying story that he filmed with National Geographic.

11:30 -12:15, Tour

Friday, June 21, RAINBOWS, BUBBLES & BALLOONS!

10:00-10:45am - Presentation: Rainbows, Bubbles & Balloons
Hands-on demonstrations with science’s beautiful phenomenon of rainbow, bubbles, balloons with a touch of weather and weight, with Balloon Museum Curator of Education, Laurie Magovern.

11am-12noon, Tour
Explore 4 stations around the Balloon Museum with Balloon Museum docents and educators.

Ages: Preschool—Third Grade.

Friday, June 28, FRACTALS IN FLIGHT

10:00-11:00am, Presentation: Fractals in Flight
Fractals are SMART: Science, Math, and Art - and they create beautiful balloon designs. Meet Dr. Jonathan Wolfe, local and international Fractal expert. Discover fractals in the world around you and make triangle fractals to contribute to the world’s largest fractal.

11am-12noon, Tour
Explore 4 stations around the Balloon Museum with Balloon Museum docents and educators.
