  • Phase II - October 2006

Size of building: Approximately 60,000 Sq. ft

  • approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, multipurpose/community conference facilities, research library, exhibit construction facilities, artifact storage, offices, food service, gift shop.

Construction Cost: Approximately $12 million

Funding Sources:

  • City of Albuquerque voter-approved bonds
  • City of Albuquerque Quality of Life Tax
  • NM State Legislature.

Architect: Design Collaborative Southwest, Inc.

General Contractor: Gerald Martin

Exhibit Designer: Chermayeff & Geismar, Inc.
